"Landescapes" is a joint exhibition by Danish jeweller Gitte Nygaard and Spanish photographer Patxi Calvo. What binds these artists, besides a personal friendship, is a slightly tilted view of the world in which the focus is shifted to what is normally passed by or kept hidden. In the exhibition they focus on the unwanted landscape. Calvo shows how people invent and celebrate their own nature in the no man's lands surrounding Amsterdam, while Nygaard reveals the hidden nature in the trees that are cast in the process of creating jewellery.

A cooperation that started as a slow walk. Close to home, under many of the bridges of Amsterdam. At first we have not eveN noticed it. The well designed lines. A path. Trunks lined up created for protecting and nursing animals. A dowry from the municipality to the residents; to create green corridors. Someone told us! To help autochtonous fauna to find their way and suddenly, one day in the sunset, they were glooming with glorious light.
A golden line of giant roots. An ephemeral décor. A dutch landscape.
